Meditation

We are on day three of our new nap regime, so far it’s been assuringly successful. Only one nap didn’t find itself in his schedule, and that’s okay with me.
Today I’m here next to him, listening and watching him peacefully sleep. Five minutes prior to this moment the two of enjoyed a good 20 minutes of uninterrupted quiet meditation. He snuggled up close to me a gazed off into his own little world, every so often he would reach out and gently touch my arm letting me know that he was still with me, awake. We continued to breath in harmony.

I recited my prayers and became more still, and as I slowed down my breath I realized that he was finally sleeping.

I love this new nap journey, it’s working!
